Shannon Heneghan Jutras

Shannon Heneghan Jutras, Manager of Program Assessment, has been in the field for more than 17 years, working with children ages birth and older in a variety of capacities. She has achieved author-level reliability on all four Environment Rating Scales and is reliable on the Pre-K CLASS assessment tool. Shannon has a particular passion for the intersection of education, advocacy, and art, and in addition to her role at RIAEYC, teaches dance and composition to students of all ages. Shannon is honored that through her work at RIAEYC she has the opportunity to advocate on behalf of Rhode Island’s children and believes that access to quality, individualized early education is a critical social justice issue that has the power to transform communities.
Shannon holds both a bachelor’s of arts and fine arts from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts.
